[Instructions: Copy and paste this section into your written app, following the written test. You can choose how you want to respond to it: write a return letter, or describe your characters reading the letter and discussing their answers, or throw out the letter framing and describe a direct meeting with Kali - just keep the questions the same.]

The Researchers Guild Recruitment Slip was printed in the tiniest text you'd ever seen, covered with so many instructions and check-boxes for your new team member that it hurt to look at. Filling it out took an hour and a half, not counting the time it took to figure out which office to deliver it to - not an experience you wanted to repeat. So your heart sank a bit when a new envelope arrived from the Guild.

Instead of more forms, however, the envelope contains a sheaf of pale green notebook paper that seems to have been burned on one side. The pages are covered in large, neat handwriting, but also marred by an excess of inkblots and quill scratches. Curious, you start to read:

"Hey!

Kali here. It's been way too long, huh? I've been swamped with work here in Andalusst. Ever since his case of freezer burn Archie's been especially insufferable, and of course I have to deal with it. He's got something new to complain about every. single. day. Between you and me, I'm tempted to [a very large ink splotch obscures the text] and his stupid tentacles, too.

But anyway! I filed your recruitment form when it came in, so I thought I should write to you and say 'welcome to the Researchers, new person!' I saw your official data, but I really want to hear a bit more about you. Like, how'd you meet up with your teammates? Why'd you decide to join the Guild? And most importantly, what sort of subjects are you interested in, well, researching? Whatever it is, I'd love to hear about it.

Speaking of research, I do have a question for all you guys as a team: what would you say you've learned since you joined the Guild? Have you made a particular discovery or realization that stands out? Or have you run into some kind of mystery that you want to know more about? Oh, and if you can't think of anything, don't worry! You're kind of established as a team now, so you'll have more chances to do your own research in the future. Either way, It's something to be thinking about.

Well, I don't want to ramble too long (and I've got a ton of test results to go over). Hope I see you guys again soon!

Best wishes,
-Kali

P.S. Sorry about the burns. I kinda bumped into this Heatmor outside the lab and, well, there was a lot of fire."
For use after recruiting your first new member. Copy and paste a new stats section for the new member in your written app, and then copy and paste this prompt in after the writing test. Remember that you can change any features of this prompt that you like, so long as the NPC and the questions being asked remain the same.

Ok...um...what's going on? ^^;

This seems to be for adding members to an already-existing team.  Where are the written tests for people who are just joining and creating a team from scratch?  I saw one in the journal, but...apparently, we're not using that anymore, and there isn't any other journal that provides an updated application that isn't immediately obvious by the entry's title, so...yeah...no idea what to do with this.  Do I just...make something up for the written test section?
